Samsung Releases Four Mobile WiMAX Devices

Samsung Electronics today unveiled four new Mobile WiMAX devices to the Korean market. Known as the SPH-M8200, SPH-P9200, SPH-H1300, SWT-200K, these Mobile WiMAX devices are currently available via Korea Telecom(KT)’s Mobile WiMAX network. Measuring at just 16.6mm thin, the SPH-M8200 is a PDA type Mobile WiMAX device which supports Mobile WiMAX and CDMA EV-DO connectivity. The gadget also sports Terrestrial DMB, Bluetooth, file viewer and enhanced UCC related functions including video editor and background music.

The Samsung SPH-P9200 is powered by Microsoft Windows XP operating system . The handset supports voice, video-telephony calls, Mobile WiMAX, HSDPA and Wi-Fi. The SPH-H1300 and SWT-H200K are USB type modems which can be connected to laptops for quick use of Mobile WiMAX technology. Pricing info are still unknown.
